Hi Readers!

We are two days away from Blogtober, a blog event I’ve seen around for years and l attempted myself for the first time last year. I’ll be doing it again this year and if you’re thinking of taking part as well, here’s everything you need to know.

What Is Blogtober?

Blogtober is a blogger event where you try and create new content for every day of October. It’s completely up to you what you post but seeing as this is a book blog, I’ll be posting 31 new bookish posts in October.

Why You Should Take Part

It’s an event a lot of bloggers take part in. It’s a lot of work, but you’re not doing it alone. It’s a great way to get involved in the community and get support for fellow bloggers. It also pushes you to think outside the box in terms of content as you’ll be posting a lot more than normal.

Halloween Readathons

A readathon is a great way to fill up a few spaces during blogtober. You can do a TBR and/or daily updates for it. Also, there are so many amazingly creative Halloween themed readathons happening, good luck just choosing one!

This definitely isn’t all of them. Just a few that I’ve seen.

Fortnite Frights (18th – 31st)
Deweys 24 Hour Readathon (24th)
Spooks and Tea (1st – 31st)
Crime Readathon (October 25th – November 8th)
Hocus Pocus Readathon (1st – 31st)

I hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of taking part in blogtober this year. Good luck if you are!

Thanks For Reading,
Jess X

Love the idea!! I’m slacking a little with my reviews lately, haven’t read as much, but I bet I could make a list of 31 blog posts 😀 It will be a challenge for sure.
