High School Musical Book Tag

Hi Readers!

One of the key moments that really stand out to me from my childhood was the day High School Musical premiered on Disney Channel. This was probably the first ‘fandom’ I was ever a part of, without even knowing what a fandom was.

How did I not know this film series, which impacted my life so much, had a book tag? Well that was until @BooksAre42 tagged me in it. Thanks so much!

1. The Start of Something New – A new favourite genre/author/series

Biographies. I’d never really enjoyed non-fiction but I think I was just reading the wrong sort. Now I love historical biographies about kings, queens, authors and other historical figures.

2. What I’ve Been Looking For – A book that has everything you’ve ever wanted

Most recently, Beach Read by Emily Henry.

3. Fabulous – A book with the biggest diva

Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games. But she’s my favourite diva.

4. Status Quo – A stereotype defying character

Celaena Sardothian from Throne of Glass. Not just because she’s a kick-ass female assassin, but because she’s a kick-ass female assassin who also likes pretty dresses.

5. Boys Are Back – The best bromance

Percy Jackson and Grover. They’re both amazingly selfless and will go to any lengths needed to protect the other.

6. What Time is it? – Your favourite summer read

A recent one is Felix Ever After but I recently did a post about these which you can find here.

7. Everyday – If you had to look at one book cover every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My first thought was the Little Women Barnes and Noble edition. It is stunning.

8. Just Wanna be with you – A book you couldn’t put down

Legend by Marie Lu. I basically read that whole series in one sitting.

9. Scream – A character that frustrated you

Honestly, I really don’t know. I suppose Count of Monte Cristo but not because of the book itself but because I keep putting it down even though I’m enjoying it and then never picking it up again.

10. High School Musical – Your favourite fictional school

Creekwood. Simon and Abby and all that just seem really cool , I would like to be friends with them!

11. Humuhumunukuapua’a – The most ridiculous book/scene/character you have ever read

Orlando by Virginia Woolf. The book is just quite bizarre.

12. Spring Musical Medley – The happiest ending

Aw I do love a happy ending. And I think Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe definitely has one. I’m just worried for the sequel now!

I Tag…

Delaney – Books Lovers Lifting and Crushing

Ayushi – Bookish Ayushi

Deanna – The Comfy Reader

Thanks For Reading,
Jess X
