Top 10 Classic Christmas Films I Watch Every Christmas

Welcome to Blogmas day 5!

This is the most wonderful time of the year for a whole host of reasons. One of them being, of course, Christmas films. Everyone has a favourite, whether it’s a cheesy hallmark romance or the story of Santa Claus and his elves.

These are the 10 Christmas classics that I just can’t let Christmas go by without watching.

Elf

Hilarious and joyful. I am basically Buddy when it comes to Christmas. His excitemend is so infectious. This movie also makes me want to see New York at Christmas time.

The Santa Clause Trilogy

A childhood favourite of mine and I still love them to this day. I love to watch it every Christmas morning and it’s movie that makes me so happy.

The Polar Express

I won’t lie, the animation of this movie kind of creeps me out. But I still have to watch it every Christmas. Plus, this is basically every kids dream for a train to come on Christmas Eve and take them to meet Santa.

Love Actually

To me, this movie is perfect. Okay, maybe not. It’s got it’s flaws for sure but I do love how iconic it is.

The Family Stone

This isn’t normally included in peoples favourites. I only watched it for the first time last year and I really surprised me and became an instant favourite. I can’t wait to rewatch it this Christmas.

It’s A Wonderful Life

This movie has a message that I feel like a lot of people need to hear this time of year. You matter. And for that this movie means a lot to me.

A Christmas Carol: The Musical

Everybody has a favourite adaptation of a Christmas Carol and this just so happens to be mine. I love musicals, especially around Christmas, and the songs just add such a warmth to this story.

The Holiday

Another cosy Christmas rom-com partly set in the snowy English countryside, partly in sunny Hollywood. It does drag a bit but it’s great to watch whilst writing up blogmas posts!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I dare anyone to say truthfully they did not have their hearts melted by Cindy Lou Who. I bet you they couldn’t. Jim Carrey is hilarious in this. I have yet to see the 2018 version though, anyone think it’s worth a watch?

Christmas With the Kranks

This movie is all about not giving into peer pressure at Christmas. . And it’s hilarious and I just think the ending is so heartwarming.

What Christmas movie do you watch every year?

Thanks for reading,

Jess X

    1. I was never a big fan of the muppets growing up so I’ve never actually watched this! I’ll have to give it a go!
